Dual Enrollment

Why dual enrollment with Crown College?

For students who are not Minnesota residents, our Dual Enrollment program is a great opportunity to get a head start on higher education. While earning both high school and college credit, students will experience engaging virtual classrooms, attentive and responsive professors, and advisors who advocate for students.

To qualify for this program, students must be a high school junior or senior and have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.

  • Online classes are flexible–do your weekly work when it is convenient for you
  • Asynchronous classes–no set meeting times for most classes
  • Courses are convenient and easy to navigate and open 24-7
  • Attentive & responsive professors
  • An advisor who serves as the student’s advocate
  • Small class sizes
  • Free digital textbooks for most classes

THE

Cost

Crown’s Dual Enrollment price is $85/credit, a substantial savings from our regular tuition.  We do not charge any fees and the books are included for free in most of our dual enrollment courses, which saves you even more money.  At these rates, you can save thousands of dollars compared to the prices at most four-year colleges and universities.

These courses are specially selected to ease you into the college experience, meet high school requirements, and fulfill college general education needs. Courses with Crown College count toward both high school and college credit.

Courses run over a 15-week semester.  Digital textbooks are used for the majority of the classes.  Classes are taught from a biblical worldview; however, not all the books provide that same worldview.

Standardized test results are not required for Dual Enrollment students.

The official high school transcript comes to Crown directly from the high school in a sealed envelope or via electronic transcript service. An official homeschool transcript includes classes, grades, cumulative GPA, expected graduation date, and a parent signature and is mailed in a sealed envelope or emailed from the parent.

Crown is regionally accredited so credits should transfer elsewhere, but ultimately it’s up to the other college to decide what will transfer.  See Transferology for assistance planning coursework.
